Ever since I was a young girl, I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian.
My dream started when my parents surprised me with my first kitten on the day I graduated from kindergarten, and from then I never imagined another career. I was going to treat the healthy and the sick, the big and the small. Growing up in New York City meant I mostly had small animals in my life, but by the time I was six, I became an avid horseback rider, and horses quickly became another passion.
My journey took me to Johns Hopkins University for college, the University of Maryland for a Masters degree, and finally Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine for my DVM. I've been practicing for over 24 years in Connecticut, New York, and for the last 18 years in Miami, Florida.
I took a break from small animal practice to work with horses as the Executive Director of a nonprofit, but then found my way back to small animal practice when I realized how much I missed the relationships, the medicine, and the surgery. Now that my two children are in college, I decided it was time for a change. My little rescue dog, Eggsie, and I have chosen Southport for our new home. We're looking forward to joining the community!
