Carrying on the family tradition of caring for animals.
Veterinary medicine has been the center of my life from the very beginning. My dad, Dr. Wayne Jones, established Lincolnton Animal Hospital in 1972 when I was only 2 years old. Following in his footsteps became my dream and that path led me to North Carolina State University where I graduated from Veterinary School in 1995. I returned home to practice with my dad growing our next practice in Cornelius, NC at the Animal Hospital of Cornelius. I would practice there for 26 wonderful years.
Southport and Oak Island has been a very special for me and my family. My grandparents had a home in Oak Island since 1972 and so many fond memories have been made here. In 2021, Dr. Flint King, my classmate from veterinary school, gave me the opportunity to come to this wonderful community and what a blessing it has been. I live here and in New Bern, NC with my beautiful wife Kelly Jones. We have 4 sweet animals, Thelma Lou, a chihuahua, Gracie and Bentley, both Yorkies, and Peanut Butter and Jelly, our two kitties.
My interests keep me busy and tend to be very diverse, I am a licensed pyrotechnician and work for an entertainment company that produces firework shows for television and communities all across the Southeast. I have my commercial truck drivers license, my commercial drone license, and recently obtain my US Coast Guard Captain’s license. I love fishing, photography, travel and boating.
